Case studies

The brief, the build, the result.

A closer look at three recent projects and the thinking behind each one.

Aunty Wama 2K website by Ntombii Tech

Case study 01

Aunty Wama 2K

Media personality · Radio & TV

The brief

Sine Nene is a Gagasi FM presenter, TV co-host and MC working across radio, television and brand activations. Her bookings, press requests and brand deals were all living in social DMs, which made her hard to take seriously as a commercial media partner.

What we built

  • A personality-led homepage that opens with who she is and what she hosts, so a brand manager understands her in five seconds
  • A live on-air panel with her Midnight Sound schedule and a countdown to the next broadcast
  • Dedicated sections for Lokshin Bite and her Select Africa TV show, so each brand stands on its own
  • A structured booking form that captures event type, date and budget, then sends the enquiry straight to her WhatsApp
  • A downloadable media profile so brands can circulate her rate card internally

The outcome

One professional link she can put on every profile, pitch and rate card, with enquiries landing in a format she can act on instead of scattered DMs.

Amajuba District Top Women Awards website by Ntombii Tech

Case study 02

Amajuba District Top Women Awards

Awards ceremony · Newcastle KZN

The brief

Now in its fourth year, the awards had a growing legacy but nowhere to keep it. Winners, categories and ceremony photographs lived on social feeds that disappear, and nominees had no credible place to check how the process works.

What we built

  • A ceremonial gold-on-black identity that carries the weight of a red-carpet event
  • A permanent winners archive, so past honourees stay findable years after the night
  • All fifteen award categories written out in full, each explaining exactly who it recognises
  • A gallery and news section that turn the ceremony into an ongoing story instead of a once-a-year post
  • Nomination and contact flows that open and close cleanly around each year's cycle

The outcome

The awards now have a permanent public record of the women they honour, and sponsors have a credible platform to point to.

Dundee July Market website by Ntombii Tech

Case study 03

Dundee July Market

Marketplace & vendor directory

The brief

The Dundee July draws crowds to town, but visitors had no way to find the vendors trading around the event, and small traders had no affordable way to be found. Everything depended on word of mouth and Facebook posts.

What we built

  • A searchable vendor directory with quick-access categories for food, crafts, fashion, beauty and accommodation
  • Individual vendor listings with pricing, location and a direct WhatsApp button on every card
  • Sponsored, premium and featured placement tiers, giving the market a way to earn revenue from listings
  • A self-service List Your Business flow so traders can join without going through an admin
  • A layout built mobile-first, because visitors search for vendors while standing at the event

The outcome

A marketplace that keeps working between events, sending enquiries straight to the traders who need them.
