The person behind the work
Hi, I'm Sabelo.
I’m a self-taught digital product developer and the founder of Ntombii Tech. My focus is web development: websites and online stores that help businesses present their work and connect with customers.
Each website starts with understanding your business, your customers and what the site needs to do. Additional business and digital support can be discussed on request, with availability confirmed before we agree on the work.
We’re based in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal and work with people across South Africa. For nearby businesses, we can also work together in person.
Tell me about your businessHow this began
Curiosity turned into work.
Before I built digital products, I was making music. What drew me into technology was the idea that powerful tools were becoming available to people who had not always been close to the biggest technology centres or the most expensive training. I wanted to learn what I could make with them.
I taught myself by building, then kept learning through real work with businesses. Ntombii Tech grew from that process. Today, our main focus is websites and online stores. Additional business and digital support stays available to discuss on request.
Long term, I want to back people with good ideas early. For now, I am doing the part that matters first: learning how useful things are made and helping others get theirs into the world.

I was paying for ChatGPT Plus, but I didn't know how much more I could do with tools like Codex and automation. Sabelo walked me through practical ways to use them for my work. We're creating better content, scheduling posts and getting much more value from the tools we pay for.
When Sabelo first suggested registering our salon, I thought it would be expensive and complicated. He explained every step and every cost, from the CIPC fee to the bank account, and helped us get it done. He still helps us prepare proposals and look for funding opportunities.
We thought we'd left my sister's UNISA application too late. Sabelo kept working on it right up to the deadline and helped her submit it. She's now in her second year, and we're grateful he didn't give up on the process.
I've been tendering for years, but I don't always have time to search for new opportunities. Ntombii Tech keeps an eye on relevant tenders, shares what I can apply for and helps me prepare the applications.
People were interested in our bricklaying services, but their messages were getting lost. Sabelo helped us organise enquiries so we can follow up properly when someone contacts us.
I'd tried to handle my UJ and NSFAS applications myself, but I wasn't sure where things stood. Ntombii Tech helped me pick up the process and followed up with both UJ and NSFAS until I received my acceptance. Having someone stay on top of it made a real difference.
Ntombii Tech helped me register my catering business and get my documents in order. Sabelo was upfront about the process and costs, and he continues to help me with the admin side of running the business.
I had asked Ntombii Tech to help with two university applications. Sabelo suggested applying more widely and helped me submit over ten. I didn't get into the places I'd first hoped for, but another application worked out and I got to study.
My CSD profile had been sitting unfinished for weeks. Ntombii Tech helped me work through the missing details and get my profile in order. It was a relief to finally move forward.
